In a recent report, The Athletic mentioned that Manchester United have agreed on a deal to land Royal Antwerp keeper Senne Lammens this summer. It has been claimed that the Red Devils have agreed to pay €21m plus €4m in add-ons to bring the Belgian custodian to Old Trafford in this transfer window.
The 23-year-old had an impressive campaign at the Belgian club as he was responsible for putting in a series of solid displays for them in the Jupiler Pro League. Lammens conceded 56 times and earned ten clean sheets in 44 matches for Royal Antwerp last season in all competitions.
The Belgian talent proved his worth as one of the best keepers in the Jupiler Pro League. Thus, Man United have done well to get a deal over the line for him this summer.
However, there are some question marks over whether Lammens would be able to cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League after this international break.

Lammens is a good handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make some crucial saves at the back for his team. He usually puts his foot through the ball when being chased down by the opposition attackers and can use his strong 1.93m frame to command his penalty area.
However, the Belgian sensation is still unproven at the highest level and would need time to prove his worth in the Premier League. Still, he would serve as an upgrade over Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana at the Mancunian club.
Lammens would no doubt bring more quality and depth to Man United head coach Ruben Amorim’s match-day squad. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford this season.
At 23, the future looks quite bright for the Belgian goalie as long as he continues to improve with each season. Therefore, it makes sense for Man United to sign Lammens before the end of this summer transfer window. However, Amorim has to give him some time to adapt to life in the Premier League.
