Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have been hit with two fresh injury concerns during Sunday’s win at Nottingham Forest.

The treble-winners continued their pursuit of a fourth successive Premier League title with a win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, after goals from Josko Gvardiol and Erling Haaland secured a hard-fought three points.

Manchester City are just four wins away from retaining their Premier League crown, although Arsenal remain in hot pursuit and currently sit one point ahead of the Sky Blues, despite Mikel Arteta’s side having played one game more.

Pep Guardiola’s side took the lead in the 31st minute through Gvardiol’s headed effort, prior to Haaland doubling Manchester City’s advantage in the second-half with a cushioned strike.

The Cityzens were without both Phil Foden and Ruben Dias for the win in the Midlands, with the pair forced to miss the visit to the City Ground due to illness.

Manchester City have five remaining matches this campaign, with Premier League games against Wolves, Fulham, Tottenham and West Ham, before an Emirates FA Cup Final clash with Manchester United at Wembley Stadium next month.

Guardiola suffered two major concerns ahead of the Blues’ remaining matches, with injury fears for both goalkeeper Ederson and forward Jack Grealish.

Ederson was forced off at half-time against Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon, with the Brazilian international replaced by Stefan Ortega due to a suspected shoulder injury, suffered midway through the first-half after a forceful collision.

The 30-year-old was taken off for the third time this season, and has only recently returned from a muscular injury suffered against Liverpool at Anfield in March.

Meanwhile, Grealish was replaced by Haaland in the 62nd minute, and the Englishman was pictured being treated with ice upon returning to the Manchester City dugout.

The 28-year-old will be hopeful of being fit for next Saturday’s clash with Wolves, with Gary O’Neil’s side visiting the Etihad Stadium next weekend, in the Blues’ penultimate home match of the campaign.
