Jadon Sancho is prepared to halve his current wages to seal another return to Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The Manchester United outcast, who earns a reported £300,000 per week at Old Trafford, has set his sights on a reunion with his former club once again after failing to garner any concrete interest since his Chelsea departure.

It was confirmed last month that the Blues had opted against signing Sancho permanently and instead decided to fork out the £5 million penalty to send him back to Manchester.

Jadon Sancho’s uncertain future: The state of play

Despite being linked with the likes of Juventus and Fenerbahce since the window opened, nothing has materialised for the 25-year-old, leaving him floundering to find a suitor in the weeks leading up to 2025/2026 getting underway.

As a result, United have reportedly lowered their asking price from £20-25m to just £17m in hopes of getting him off the books once and for all. This has prompted Dortmund to register their interest, although they would be unable to match Sancho’s current financial package.

That’s why, according to Sport BILD, the winger is willing to take a 50 per cent pay cut to make the move to the Signal Iduna Park in the coming weeks – four years on from his £73m exit.

It comes as no surprise that Sancho is favouring a return to the Bundesliga, given that he has never been able to replicate the form he displayed in yellow and black.

He spent four years with the German outfit and racked up an impressive 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 appearances across all competitions. However, Sancho has recorded just 12 goals and six assists in 83 United matches, making him one of their most disappointing acquisitions of the last decade.
