Arsenal need to win to keep their Premier League title hopes alive this Sunday, but old foes Manchester United stand in their way.

The Gunners are still vying with Manchester City at the top of the table but have some ground to make up after Pep Guardiola's side saw off Fulham on Saturday. City are two points ahead and any further slip-ups at this stage could prove fatal.

A trip to Old Trafford has always been a mighty challenge for Arsenal historically, but Man Utd are still firmly in crisis mode ahead of their visit this weekend. A 4-0 humiliation at the hands of a resurgent Crystal Palace on Monday night was a new low for the Red Devils, who may well finish the season without European qualification. Even a victory in the FA Cup final later this month may not be enough to save Erik ten Hag from the boot.

Arsenal were victorious in the first meeting between these sides back in early September, with stoppage-time goals from Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus helping Mikel Arteta's side to a 3-1 triumph. A repeat of that result would be welcomed with open arms by the north London club.

Man Utd's poor performances haven't been helped by a stream of injuries, particularly in defence, and Ten Hag is still without a whole host of his stars this Sunday. At the back, the Dutchman is missing Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Willy Kambwala and Tyrell Malacia.

Further forward, Man Utd are without Anthony Martial still, while Mason Mount is unavailable for Sunday following another injury setback.

However, the good news for Ten Hag is that captain Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay are all back fit, with the latter perhaps filling in at centre-back.

Arsenal have a few injury concerns ahead of Sunday with Bukayo Saka and Takehiro Tomiyasu both doubtful after the most recent outing with Bournemouth. The England international was on the end of a nasty challenge from Ryan Christie at the Emirates but should shake it off in time.

Jurrien Timber is closing in on a return from an ACL injury that has kept him sidelined since the opening day, but he is yet to return to the bench for the Gunners despite having played some matches at academy level.
