Manchester United are flying high after Sunday's remarkable late victory over local rivals Manchester City and will be keen to build momentum from an incredible result when they visit Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.

The Red Devils can secure their place in the last four of the Carabao Cup on Thursday evening when they visit north London, with Ruben Amorim seeking his first piece of silverware during his debut season in Manchester.

Man Utd will be wary of Thursday's opposition, who put three unanswered goals past them at Old Trafford earlier this term, and Amorim has some significant selection headaches following a chaotic few days for the six-time EFL Cup winners.

Here is how Man Utd could line up at Spurs.

GK: Andre Onana - Onana has endured several difficult weeks having returned to the error-prone form that saw him maligned during his debut season. Will want to get through Thursday's encounter without catching the eye.

CB: Leny Yoro - The summer signing is being slowly integrated into the team following a long-term injury and the trip to north London could offer him some much-needed game time. Matthijs de Ligt has hardly proved irreplaceable, too.

CB: Harry Maguire - Last season, Maguire vs Erling Haaland would have ended very differently. However, the often criticised centre-back kept the Norwegian quiet at the Etihad, limiting him to very few opportunities.

CB: Lisandro Martinez - Not only did the diminutive Argentine impress defensively against Man City, he also provided the late assist for Amad Diallo's strike with an excellent direct through ball.

RM: Diogo Dalot - With Noussair Mazraoui an injury doubt and Amad being moved further forward, Dalot should return to a right midfield spot on Thursday. Will be tasked with keeping the insatiable Son Heung-min under wraps, something Southampton failed to do at the weekend.

CM: Kobbie Mainoo - Mainoo replaced the injured Mason Mount after just 14 minutes at the Etihad and offered up a strong defensive performance in the engine room. With James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski drifting into attacking midfield positions, he will be busy on Thursday.

CM: Manuel Ugarte - Only Mazraoui (12) and Maguire (12) performed more defensive actions than Ugarte (11) at the weekend, with the Uruguayan saving one of his most impressive Man Utd performances for the big stage.

LM: Tyrell Malacia - Malacia hasn't been flawless following his return from injury- understandable given the amount of time he missed - but Luke Shaw's hamstring injury could open the door for the Dutchman in the capital.

RF: Amad Diallo - Amad's space in the team was already secure after a heroic performance at the weekend but Marcus Rashford admitting his desire to leave Old Trafford has only boosted the Ivorian's place in the pecking order.

ST: Rasmus Hojlund - It appears a coin toss between Hojlund and fellow forward Joshua Zirkzee on Thursday but it may be the Denmark international who gets the nod following his impressive recent goalscoring form.

LF: Bruno Fernandes - With Alejandro Garnacho dropped at the weekend amid investigations over internal leaks at Man Utd, Fernandes should play in a more advanced role off Hojlund. He was the difference-maker alongside Amad at the Etihad.
