PSG are dealing with growing uncertainty at the goalkeeper position, and Lucas Chevalier has surfaced as a potential long-term answer. While Gianluigi Donnarumma is under contract through 2026, talks over an extension have yet to produce an agreement.

According to L’Équipe, Donnarumma began considering a departure from PSG even before the European season ended, despite publicly maintaining his commitment to the club.

The report also notes that Manchester United and Manchester City have shown interest in the Italian since June. PSG are aiming to wrap up Chevalier’s signing before making any decision on Donnarumma’s future.

CaughtOffside reported Saturday that Donnarumma is among the top targets on Manchester United’s shortlist.

PSG have been in contract talks with the goalkeeper for more than a year, but despite offering him a €7 million net salary and €3 million in bonuses, the proposal didn’t meet his expectations.

Donnarumma has decided not to extend his deal, and with only one year left on his contract, PSG are prepared to sell him this summer.

However, Manchester United may not be in a position to make a move. According to the Manchester Evening News, the club doesn’t currently have a budget for a new No. 1 goalkeeper.

Even so, Andre Onana is not expected to leave. He’s reportedly committed to staying at Manchester United and has been assured he won’t be sold or replaced.
