Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt could be on the move this summer, as his name keeps coming up in transfer rumors. The 24-year-old Dutch international is reportedly a target for Paris Saint-Germain, who are aiming to bolster their defense.

Last month, RMC Sport reported that PSG are eyeing the Bayern Munich center-back, under contract until 2027, as a key addition to their squad. However, new information reveals that the Red Devils have a clear path to signing the player.

Transfer window expert Fabrizio Romano reveals that de Ligt is only negotiating with the Premier League club. As of today, no other clubs are involved in the conversation for de Ligt because his entire focus is on Manchester United. Moreover, the Dutchman only gave the green light to head to Old Trafford.

On Tuesday, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported that Bayern Munich demands at least €50 million plus bonus payments for the Dutch defender, and the English side are surprised that the Bundesliga club would let de Ligt go.

Last season, the 24-year-old made 30 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and registering one assist.
