The teenager made his first-team debut not long ago.
Leicester City have turned down bids from Manchester United and Arsenal for teenage midfielder Louis Page.
Two rising stars have begun to emerge for the relatively cash-strapped Foxes this season. In a summer that hasn't seen much incoming activity at the King Power Stadium, teenagers Jeremy Monga and Page have stepped up into the first-team and impressed.
Monga was handed his debut in the men's squad at just 15-years-old. Page, bless him, had to wait until he was 17, his current age, to get a chance to impress for the club.
The midfielder really announced himself in Leicester colours on Friday night against one of the promotion favourites, Birmingham City. He assisted fellow rising star Abdul Fatawu for the opening goal of the evening. Monga also helped a teammate to score as Ricardo Pereira got on the end of one of the winger's crosses to secure a 2-0 victory for Marti Cifuentes' side.
Such is the talent of the respective teenagers that Premier League clubs have been after them. While interest in Monga spiked slightly earlier in the window, it has now been reported by journalist Pete O'Rourke that Leicester have batted back offers from Man United and Arsenal for Page.
It isn't clear whether these bids were made on Deadline Day or not. Leicester have been juggling many transfer opportunities ahead of today's 7pm deadline to make moves. One of those deals has already been completed and made official as Argentinian striker Julian Carranza has joined the Foxes on loan from Feyenoord.
They are also set to beat Wrexham to former Birmingham City centre-mid Jordan James, as per Sky Sports. In less successful news, however, their talks with Borussia Monchengladbach over goalkeeper Jonas Omlin have collapsed. The 31-year-old Swiss is set to remain in Germany, as per Florian Plettenberg.
If Leicester are able to hold onto Page, and there is little indication that Monga will be on the move before 7pm, then the club will hugely benefit from it, both on and off the pitch, if they play their cards right.
The value of the two players, should they continue to impress on the Championship stage, will continue to climb. Potentially cashing in on that value will be the hard part if they don't tie the players down to professional deals.
Football Insider reported earlier in the window that Page rejected a new contract from the Foxes. Monga is not yet of the age where he can be offered such terms as he doesn't turn 17, the age where players can be presented with pro deals, until next July.
If they are able to fend off Man United, Arsenal and other possible suitors, it doesn't mean that Leicester have completely smashed this situation. The pro contract will be the key. At least, for now, Cifuentes and co can benefit on the pitch from the talents of Page and Monga.
