Old rivals reunite

Scorers: Bruno Fernandes 45+2'; Rice 74'

Two excellent goals from Bruno Fernandes and Declan Rice were the rare moments of quality as Manchester United and Arsenal drew 1-1 at Old Trafford

The Premier League's original heavyweight rivals met at Old Trafford with both sides in desperate need of a victory.

It was Arsenal who had the first proper chance of the game as Mikel Merino dragged a shot wide from the edge of the area.

Mikel Arteta's side were enjoying almost a complete monopoly on the ball but with half an hour gone were struggling to create too many meaningful chances.

Completely agains the run of play United took the lead as Bruno Fernandes netted a stunning free kick on the stroke of half time.

Into the second half and Andre Onana was forced into a superb save as Martin Ødegaard fired in a first time effort.

United almost got a goal of their own however as Noussair Mazraoui's lung-busting run saw him meet a cross, but the wing-back's volley was saved expertly by Raya.

Arsenal got an equaliser with 15 minutes to go though, as Rice curled in from 20 yards out.

United pushed for a winner late on but Raya was equal to two efforts as both sides earned a share of the points.

Cucurella rescues Chelsea

Scorers: Cucurella 60'

Marc Cucurella's second goal in as many matches saw Chelsea edge Leicester 1-0.

With Manchester City's defeat yesterday, Chelsea came into this clash knowing that three points would take them above the reigning champions and into fourth place.

It was a fairly uneventful opening to the game until things livened up on 20 minutes as Chelsea won a penalty. Up stepped Cole Palmer, but the usually reliant England international saw his effort saved.

The Foxes then almost immediately got themselves ahead of Adarabioyo's header came back off his own crossbar to avoid an embarrassing own goal.

After the break it took a while for the Blues to find their shooting boots but Cucurella found his on the hour mark to break the deadlock and win the game.

Second half salvo saves Spurs

Scorers: Sarr 68', Son (PEN) 84'; Tavernier 40', Evanilson 65'

A late comeback from Tottenham saw the north London side salvage a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

Within 17 seconds Evanilson capitalised on a Romero mistake but saw his shot saved well by Vicario. And then minutes later the Italian goalkeeper saved again from the Bournemouth forward.

Just before the break it was the Cherries who took the lead as Kerkez put in a stunning ball for Tavernier, who volleyed in at the far post.

Into the second half and Bournemouth thought they had doubled their lead but Kluivert's goal was ruled out for offside.

A second Bournemouth goal was coming and they got it after the hour mark as Evanilson ghosted into the area and finished calmly.

A few moments later however, Spurs were back in the game as Sarr spotted Kepa off his line and hit a cross-shot over the Bournemouth goalkeeper.

And amazingly Spurs drew themselves level with six minutes to go as Kepa brought down Son who netted from the penalty spot.
