Manchester United are looking to offload some of the first team players in the summer and one of them could be striker Rasmus Hojlund.
The Danish striker scored against Portugal while playing for his country during the international break and it appears like he is finally starting to regain his form.
The attacker also scored in the win against Leicester City, breaking his goal drought which lasted for more than 20 games.
However, it may be too late for him to show his best form since he could be sold by the club in the summer transfer window and reportedly talks have already started.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, United have set an asking price of £50 million for Hojlund, and the Red Devils are reportedly in talks with Italian giants Napoli over the transfer of the player.
Man United considering Rasmus Hojlund sale?
Since joining the club from Atalanta in a £72million move, Hojlund has shown flashes of his brilliance but he has lacked consistency.
The attacker is still not the finished product and needs time to develop into a world class striker.
Perhaps United are not patient with him and have decided to move on to sign a more proven attacker who would not take time to settle at the club and somebody who would start performing instantly.
In Hojlund’s defense, he hasn’t been used properly and the players who are playing with him in attack have offered him little support.
With Hojlund reportedly up for sale, it only means that United are going to invest big in a world class attacker.
Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Hugo Ekitike is being monitored by the Red Devils while Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo is another name being linked with a move to Old Trafford.
It is set to be an exciting summer for the club with some big changes expected in the squad.
