Manchester City have announced their squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup and there are some big names missing from the list.
Both Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker have been left out, with the expectation being that neither will play for the club again. Their omissions are among the most eye-catching in a squad otherwise packed with talent.

City’s latest signings - Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Aït-Nouri and Marcus Bettinelli - are all included after sealing their moves in the past week.
Elsewhere, Mateo Kovacic misses out after undergoing surgery on an Achilles injury, while James McAtee is also not involved as he’s currently captaining England at the Under-21 Euros. He’s another player widely expected to move on this summer.
