Man City and Arsenal ‘present projects’ to Norwegian wonderkid | OneFootball

Arsenal, Manchester City and Aston Villa have all ‘presented their projects’ to Rosenborg teenager Sverre Nypan.

The Premier League trio are battling to sign the highly-rated 18-year-old this month. Nypan has emerged as one of the most exciting young talents outside Europe’s major leagues and has already racked up 60 senior appearances for the Norwegian side.

In May 2023, he became the youngest goalscorer in Rosenborg history aged 16 years and 145 days. He thenscored eight times in 28 Eliteserien for Rosenborg in 2024 to attract suitors from across Europe.

Nypan is currently visiting English clubs before deciding on the best option for his career. Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Arsenal, Manchester City and Aston Villa have all presented proposals the the starlet.

City’s proposal would include a loan move to sister-club Girona to continue his development before a future switch to the Etihad. He was in the stands for City’s 3-1 win over Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday evening, in which compatriot Erling Haaland scored.
