England will compete in their third consecutive major final and have a chance to defend their 2022 crown after they came from behind to beat Italy 2-1 after extra time in the semi-finals on Tuesday.

Bronze was in the squad that won the title in 2022 as well as the squad which reached the World Cup final the following summer.

England will face either Germany or Spain in the final on Sunday after they contest the second semi-final on Wednesday night, but the 33-year-old Chelsea right-back says she is not fussed which team England play.

Asked by ITV Sport whether she has a preference, Bronze replied: “Not really. I don’t care. They’re both fantastic teams.

“I think they have both played unbelievably. I like the fight Germany have shown in the last two games, and then obviously Spain play fantastic football.

“It’s either a rematch of the World Cup final or the Euros final. Either way, it’s going to be a fantastic [semi-final] game tomorrow and an amazing final.”

England’s two late goals to rescue the match against Italy came from substitutes Michelle Agyemang and Chloe Kelly.

“I think you’ve seen it in so many tournaments with England now, how the subs make such an impact,” Bronze said.

“I know we don’t make many changes to the starting XI, but the players who come on make a massive difference. They have fresh legs and add enthusiasm and tenacity. They’re the ones getting us to the final.

“We don’t do things the easy way, it seems, this tournament, but we find a way to win. I think it was the 96th minute and the 118th minute. We just found a way to get the goals and get the ball in the back of the net.”
