Brentford full-back Jayden Meghoma started for loan side Preston North End in their FA Cup quarter-final against Aston Villa on Sunday.

The Championship side were beaten 3-0 by their Premier League opposition in the final eight of the competition, with Meghoma playing 77 minutes at Deepdale.

The 18-year-old left-back made three interceptions, three clearances and attempted three dribbles, as well as some superb tackles and a brilliant goal-line clearance from a close-range Morgan Rogers attempt.

Elsewhere, in League One, Ryan Trevitt and Tony Yogane started for Exeter City in their 2-0 defeat to Wrexham on Saturday. Currently 17th in the third tier with a nine-point buffer on the relegation zone, the Grecians travel to Barnsley on Tuesday night.

Another Brentford duo, Val Adedokun and Ashley Hay, were both named in the Cheltenham Town starting XI as they lost 2-0 to Tranmere on Saturday. Sat in mid-table, the League Two side face Morecambe on Tuesday.
