A massive signing (or two) looks to be on the cards. All signs point to Liverpool and Real Madrid entering transfer talks.
Liverpool cannot escape Real Madrid. Especially in a transfer window.

Half of the squad in Madrid could be playing for Liverpool, after all. The most obvious one in that regard is Trent Alexander-Arnold, who left for Spain this summer.
But Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eder Militao, Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde - all have been strongly linked with Anfield. All preferred to be in Madrid.
The two clubs shop in wildly similar markets, in other words. Real Madrid's incredible European success in recent years has made them the destination for players, too, and that's been frustrating for Liverpool.
And once again, it appears talks between the two clubs are now set. Maybe even for two separate deals.
Marca reports on Wednesday that Real Madrid are still very much interested in Ibrahima Konate. The Frenchman has one year remaining on his contract and it's now incredibly unlikely that he renews with Liverpool.
Everything points to his head having been turned by Real Madrid. However, their original plan of waiting until next summer and landing him on a free have taken a turn themselves.
Madrid's poor showing at the FIFA Club World Cup sparked desire to upgrade the defence for this season. That means buying Konate a year early at a discounted price and the report here suggests an offer could materialise in the next few weeks.
