Liverpool’s summer transfer window is well and truly underway now, with talks advancing over potential incomings and departures. The Reds confirmed their first signing of the summer last week, with Jeremie Frimpong arriving from Bayer Leverkusen after his £29million release clause was triggered.
The club remain in advanced talks with Leverkusen over the record-breaking move to sign Florian Wirtz, as well as AFC Bournemough left-back Milos Kerkez also heading towards Anfield.

The exit of Caoimhin Kelleher, in an £18million move to Brentford, has also been confirmed ahead of the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia.
A number of other exits are expected with Joe Gomez, Jarell Quansah, Kostas Tsimikas, Tyler Morton, Harvey Elliott, Ben Doak, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota all facing uncertain futures. You can now also add Luis Diaz to that list, amidst growing reports over a potential move to Saudi Arabia.
Ben Jacob’s latest report on the situation, as quoted by Anfield Sector on X, has only further ignited the situation.
“A bid for Luis Diaz from Al-Nassr could be imminent after they have received central funding approval to enter negotiations as they aim to upgrade their attacking options by raiding the Premier League ahead of next season.”
“Luis Diaz is open to leaving & Liverpool will demand a £72m fee to allow him to go.”
Should Diaz leave this summer, it adds a further layer of complexity to Liverpool’s transfer plans. The Reds are already keen on signing a central striker and a central defender after wrapping up the deals for Wirtz and Kerkez, but now a left-winger could be added to that list.
Cody Gakpo has also received interest from Bayern Munich in recent weeks, but a move this summer seems unlikely at the moment.
