Liverpool beat Bournemouth 4-2 on Friday evening. One star earned himself a new contract before he even got on the pitch.
Liverpool were a mix of impressive and questionable as they beat Bournemouth at Anfield. The Reds bagged four impressive goals to claim the three points - but there were issues.
To sum them up, Bournemouth were just too able to get through Liverpool. They scored two fully-deserved goals and could have had a couple more on another day.

This just wasn't the same solid team that walked to the Premier League title last season. But that's to be expected - it literally is not the same team.
Both full-backs were different, there was a new no.9 and a new playmaker in the middle. It's a lot of change all at once and there are bound to be teething problems.
But with that in mind, it makes retaining one star feel like a necessity.
Milos Kerkez is the most expensive full-back in Liverpool’s history but he doesn’t quite look right just yet. In fact, he doesn’t quite look like the player who excelled for Bournemouth last season.
At his best, Kerkez is sprinting beyond the winger on both the overlap and the underlap. He’s getting into the box or to the byline. He’s full of energy and direct running.
His first two competitive games haven’t shown that, however. Kerkez spends a lot of his time defending or sitting deep near Virgil van Dijk.
It’s not his natural role and we can’t imagine it’s actually the plan for him at Liverpool. Now, a lot of that is because the makeup of this team isn’t very cohesive.
But it’s also a stark reminder that Kerkez is still only 21. He’s a young player and one who won’t adapt instantly to life at a club like Liverpool.
It may take some time for him to find his feet and that’s why we think it’s imperative that Andy Robertson gets a new contract. Kerkez’s efforts in 60 minutes on Friday showed he’s not yet the reliable left-back Liverpool need.
He’s got learning to do and there really isn’t anyone better to lead by example than Robertson. The Scot knows the positioning in that backline and certainly still has the energy to get up and down the line.
He’s the safe option, even if he’s not the long-term option there. Robertson, however, is out of contract in the summer.
Buying a new left-back makes next to no sense when Kerkez will hopefully hold down that role for a long time to come. Renewing Robertson, who will still only be 32 next summer, gives Liverpool peace of mind and buys Kerkez more time to develop.
It was clear before Robertson even got on the pitch against Bournemouth that Liverpool need both those things. Getting his contract sorted delivers the best situation at left-back - the Reds should get it sealed ASAP.
