Jeremie Frimpong could soon be seeing a familiar face at the club's facilities from his Manchester City days.
The Reds signed the Dutch international this summer and already he's generated a lot of hype from the fanbase.
Frimpong is one of the best right-backs in world football, especially when it comes to his offensive output. He is a brilliant defender as well, and often underrated for his work-rate and ability when it comes to that side of the game.
Now he'll be joining a supremely talented squad, that will see him competing with Conor Bradley for the right-back spot and also supplying Mohamed Salah on the right-wing.
This is going to be a fascinating dynamic and one that will make Liverpool an even stronger outfit.
On top of all of that, Frimpong will have a familiar face joining him at the club. Him and Florian Wirtz were teammates at Bayer Leverkusen and now they are going to be teammates at Anfield as well.
But that's not the only former colleague of Frimpong, who could be coming to Liverpool this summer.
Liverpool Women's team are looking for a new head coach after they parted ways with Matt Beard, who spent close to a decade working for the club.
According to The Guardian in the club's search for a new head coach, Liverpool have held talks with former Manchester City head coach Gareth Taylor.
Taylor worked at Manchester City for several years and he didn't work just at the women's team. He also worked in the club's academy, which is where he worked alongside Frimpong.
During the 2017/18 season when Taylor worked for the club's U18 team, Frimpong was his first-choice right-back.
In total, the duo spent two seasons together, with Frimpong also featuring in the FA Youth Cup under Taylor. During that time, Frimpong played 25 matches, scored one goal and registered five assists.
He also reached the FA Youth Cup Final with Taylor, and actually lost on penalties to Liverpool, in what was a bitter blow for the duo at the time.
But now they could be be joining the Reds in the same summer many years later. With Taylor having done a solid job at Manchester City over the last few years, this could be a solid appointment.
