Trent Alexander-Arnold has been enjoying his time off by visiting Monaco to watch the Formula One, but his outfit choice has not convinced Liverpool supporters.

The right-back played in Liverpool's final game of the season on Sunday 19 May, offering an emotional tribute to departing manager Jurgen Klopp after a 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Alexander-Arnold has since been named in the 33-man provisional England squad - alongside Jarell Quansah, Curtis Jones and Joe Gomez - for Euro 2024 and is expected to make the final cut for this summer's tournament in Germany.

But he has been taking advantage of some well-earned free time prior to the start of the Euros on 14 June, spotted taking in some F1 action at the Monaco Grand Prix.

While Liverpool supporters were pleased to see Alexander-Arnold embracing his time off, not all were convinced by his expensive Prada outfit.

The No.66 donned a pair of bold cream dungarees over a white vest, while also sporting some enormous sunglasses.

But it wasn't a universally popular choice, with one X user even stating: "Trent Alexander Arnold turns up at the Monaco Grand Prix dressed ready to pick up a spare ride in a Mario kart."

Another wrote: "To do some welding/painting and decorating presumably? What were you thinking?"

It was no surprise to see Alexander-Arnold in Monaco given he has invested in the Alpine F1 team alongside the likes of boxer Anthony Joshua and golfer Rory McIlroy.

Despite being off-duty, the defender was still quizzed about Liverpool's future under Arne Slot, and he wasn't the only one as Virgil van Dijk was also questioned about the Reds' new boss during his visit to the Monaco Grand Prix.

Both Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk are out of contract in 2025 and sorting out their contract situations will be among Liverpool's main priorities this summer.
