Lille set Ngal’ayel Mukau asking price amid West Ham interest | OneFootball

West Ham United are interested in signing Lille OSC midfielder Ngal’ayel Mukau (20), according to a report from Sacha Tavolieri.

It’s been a busy summer for Lille with Lucas Chevalier (23) completing his move to Paris Saint-Germain, and Bafodé Diakité (24) on the verge of leaving for AFC Bournemouth. However, one thing that has been repeatedly shown is that the club are canny negotiators.

West Ham cannot expect any deals, and they will have to fork out a large amount if they are to convince Les Dogues to part ways with the former K.V. Mechelen man. Tavolieri writes that West Ham would be expected to pay over €20m for the midfielder.

The Premier League side were given a chance to get a direct look at the DR Congo international on Saturday afternoon when they hosted Lille in a friendly. Mukau was in good form, demonstrating his ability to drive from deep as he played the full ninety minutes in the 1-1 draw (and even scored his penalty during the 5-4 shootout, which the English side won).
