From this weekend, audiences in the UK will have another way to watch Ligue 1 after Amazon announced that the French top flight was coming to their platform. Prime Video will host Ligue 1 matches via pay-per-view with each game accessible for £2.49.
This is exclusive to the UK and Amazon notes that viewers will not need a Prime subscription to access these games. This weekend, Paris Saint-Germain will travel to arch-rivals Olympique Lyonnais, while Olympique de Marseille will visit AJ Auxerre.
Viewers in the UK (as well as the Republic of Ireland) are already able to access all Ligue 1 games on a subscription basis via the Ligue 1 Pass, which costs £9.99 a month or £79.99 a year.
The Ligue 1 Pass was only created at the start of this season (after the first game week had been completed) following TNT Sports’ decision not to pick up the broadcasting rights for the 2024/25 campaign.
