Tim Walter will be looking to stamp his authority on his Hull City side as soon as possible.

Now that official confirmation was recently made regarding the German's appointment in HU3, all involved with the club can now plan ahead to a crucial pre-season for the club.

Despite another change in head coach, Acun Ilicali has remained constant in his ambition of bringing Premier League football back to this corner of Yorkshire, with a high amount of transfer activity potentially awaiting the club once again.

Due to the length of time it took for City to confirm Walter's appointment, transfer speculation hasn't been as rife as fellow Championship sides, but that could soon change over time.

Hull City's Dream XI under Tim Walter

It has been stated by City's official website that Walter looks to adapt his possession-heavy approach in an attacking take on the 4-3-3 system. With this in mind, FLW looks at a potential 'Dream XI' for the German, also incorporating some new faces into the side.

GK: Ivor Pandur

Ivor Pandur gets the nod over Ryan Allsop in this Dream XI, with it seeming increasingly likely after Ilicali's recent comments that the 24-year-old Croatian would be the starting goalkeeper for the Tigers next campaign.

This is a scenario many supporters would also be happy with, and it would showcase the potential continuity for years to come, having many years on his side compared to Allsop and Matt Ingram.

Although club captain Lewie Coyle has been a stalwart at right back ever since the club's title-winning season in League One three years ago, this area of the pitch needs adding to as a result of Cyrus Christie'srecent departure.

However, it may not be past the realm of possibility that we see Coyle displaced as the starting full-back if recent reports are to be believed, which linked Hull with a move for USMNT international, Bryan Reynolds.

The Tigers also held previous interest in the 22-year-old who currently features for Belgian outfit KVC Westerlo, where he signed from AS Roma for a €3.5m fee, and has impressed a plethora of potential suitors, showcasing some strong numbers regarding defensive metrics.

The centre-back duo of Alfie Jones and Jacob Greaves has been solid at the MKM Stadium for some time now, and even with the partnership overseeing it's fourth different head coach, there is no reason for it to change any time soon.

Jones has gone under the radar as one of the club's most consistent players and is definitely one of the more underrated centre-backs in the second tier, proven by statistics such as being dribbled past just 0.4 times on average per 90 minutes.

Jacob Greaves has been the subject of Premier League interest for many months now, and it's hardly a surprise given his inclusion in the Championship Team of the Season.

Therefore, it would be a dream scenario for the Tigers to keep hold of their academy graduate amid interest from the likes of West Ham United, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur.

FootballInsider have reported that it will cost a fee of at least £15m to prize Greaves away from the MKM Stadium, highlighting his overall importance to this side, as well as his potential.

LB: Harrison Burrows

Although it has been reported that the Tigers will see Ryan Giles return on a permanent basis, they could also target Peterborough United's Harrison Burrows.

The left-back has enjoyed a fine season in League One with Posh, culminating in a high amount of interest from clubs such as Portsmouth, Derby County, Norwich City and Coventry City.

Burrows has registered 12 goals and 18 assists from left-back across all competitions this season, which included a late winner in the EFL Trophy Final against Wycombe Wanderers.

He would be more than a shrewd pickup for the Tigers.

Beginning the midfield is Ivory Coast international, Jean Michaël Seri.

At 32 years of age, the central midfielder is the most experienced player within this XI, but alongside his wealth of knowledge, he has continued to be a smooth operator in the centre of the park.

On top of his solitary goal last campaign against Middlesbrough, Seri registered four assists and 163 progressive passes across the campaign, showcasing his reading of the game, which allows Hull's forward players to profit.

He will look to build on a successful campaign which also saw him be part of the Ivory Coast's Africa Cup of Nations winning side back in February.

CM: László Bénes

Next up is another potential addition in the form of Hamburg SV's Slovakian midfielder, László Bénes.

Bénes has been known to Walter for some time, having been on loan during his solitary season in charge of Holstein Kiel, before he acquired his services at the Volksparkstadion.

The 26-year-old is coming off the back of a fine campaign where he registered 13 goals and 11 assists from central midfield - 19 of these contributions were tallied up before the new City boss' dismissal on February 12th.

It may take a hefty fee to sign him for a third time, but Hull's ambition could have something to say about that.

RM: Abdüş Ömür

Abdüş Ömür has been a revelation in Black and Amber ever since making a reported £2m move from Trabzonspor on Deadline Day.

The 13-time Türkiye international has shown great versatility and creativity in his opening 16 appearances, and could be a key weapon next season with a full pre-season under his belt.

At 24, he still has room for further growth, and his confidence is only bound to improve even more once he finds the back of the net in the Championship for the first time.

His compatriot Ozan Tufan follows, with the former Watford man enjoying another productive season for the Tigers last term.

At times, the Turkish international struggled for consistency, but still managed to reach double figures for goals, providing him with a platform to build on under the new boss.

Walter will be his third head coach at the club, despite only signing two summers ago.

Similarly to the aforementioned Greaves, it would be a dream scenario if City were able to fend off interest and keep Jaden Philogene on their books for another season.

The former Aston Villa man missed 14 games of the season and still found the net twelve times, and even then was questioned regarding his consistency after initially returning from a two-month absence.

However, Hull supporters may have breathed slightly easier regarding a potential departure when Ilicali stated the club have no plans to sell the 22-year-old amid interest from Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Ajax.

Rounding off the XI is Liam Delap, whose potential return from Manchester City has recently been discussed by CEO, Tan Kesler.

It was reported by Alan Nixon that the Premier League champions would sell to the highest bidder amid claims of a £10m price tag, which Kesler dismissed whilst talking about the club's hopes of signing the England U21 international for a second successive season.

"I don't know who mentions those numbers because we've inquired from Man City the sale price, but there's not a set price on him in the market at the moment, so I think it's more tabloids than realistic," Kesler told Hull Live.

Delap sustained an injury in January which kept him sidelined until April after a strong start to his Hull career, eventually ending with eight goals. There is genuine belief among the fanbase that his absence was a key difference between a play-off place and City's seventh-place finish.
