According to Sky Sports News, Leeds United have tabled a bid in excess of £26m to sign Feyenoord winger Igor Paixão.

Ligue 1 side Marseille have also made an offer, but so far have been unable to find an agreement with Feyenoord. This has allowed Leeds to step in and make an offer of their own. Negotiations continue for the 25-year-old, who has four years left on his deal.

Roma are also reportedly interested in Paixão, who scored 16 goals and 10 assists in the Eredivisie last season as Feyenoord finished third.

The Brazilian’s potential destination is yet to be known. However, with Feyenoord’s vigorous recruitment this summer, it seems that De Kuip is bracing for Paixão’s departure. So far, the Rotterdammers have signed eight players, with five of them (Sem Steijn, Luciano Valente, Casper Tengstedt, Goncalo Borges, and Gaoussou Diarra) aiding offensive positions.
