Lazio target Chelsea teenager Anselmino after Casadei agreement | OneFootball

Reports in Italy claim that Lazio are interested in a move to sign 19-year-old Chelsea defender Aaron Anselmino after agreeing a deal with the Premier League side to sign Italy talent Cesare Casadei over the weekend.

Lazio have already secured one deal with Chelsea to bring Casadei back to Italy after his time away with the Blues. He will join for a fee of €12m and a 25% sell-on clause according to Sunday’s reports.

With a week to go in the January transfer window, Lazio are not stopping there, as they would ideally like to add another defender to Marco Baroni’s ranks according to Corriere dello Sport.

Sunday’s report claims that Lazio are interested in striking another deal with Chelsea to sign teenage defender Anselmino, who has recently returned from a loan with Boca Juniors, where he played before being purchased for a fee of around €20m in the summer.

Lazio had been interested in taking the 19-year-old on loan, but Chelsea have already reached the limit for the number of players they are allowed to have out on loan at any one time, which makes that option implausible.

Instead, the Biancocelesti could offer a similar type of deal to the one for Casadei, by including a significant sell-on clause to bridge the gap between their cash offer and Chelsea’s valuation.
