Bayern Munich have Chelsea target Jamie Gittens back on their shortlist and are already in contact with his agent according to German publication BILD.
Chelsea are in desperate need of a winger following the departure of Jadon Sancho, and the only wingers in the squad currently are Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto and Tyrique George.
The Blues have identified Gittens as their priority target to fill the left wing position, but were unable to get a deal done in time for the Club World Cup.
Chelsea had a bid of £42m rejected by Borussia Dortmund earlier this month and it’s a thought a total package of £47m could get accepted.
Gittens has already agreed terms on a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge, and reportedly only wants to join Chelsea this summer.

However, according to German publication BILD via X.com, the England under-21 international is back on Bayern Munich’s shortlist, and they’re already in contact with his agent.
Gittens scored 12 goals last season, including four in the Champions League and would be a great fit for Enzo Maresca’s system, but it looks like Chelsea could have competition for his signature.
If Chelsea were to miss out they could move for Lyon winger Malick Fofana, and they are thought to have a made a verbal enquiry to the Ligue 1 outfit.
Chelsea are also in the market for a versatile forward with both Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix set to leave this summer.
Hugo Ekitike, Mohammed Kudus and Joao Pedro have all been linked, although the Blues are yet to make an official move.
