Las Palmas star Kirian Rodríguez will on Thursday announce an incoming spell away from football.
That’s according to COPE, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.
Kirian, for his part, was previously forced to take an extended break from the professional game, after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma – a form of cancer – back in 2022.
The condition culminated in the midfielder missing around eight months of action.
Kirian since appeared to have put his health problems firmly behind him, featuring as a near ever-present in Las Palmas’ engine room across the season to date.
Unfortunately, however, the 28-year-old has suffered a setback.
As per a report from the aforementioned COPE, Kirian, in agreement with Las Palmas, has announced a press conference for Thursday morning.
The understanding is that this comes with a view to the player announcing another incoming spell away from the game for health reasons.
Kirian, it is claimed, will not take to the pitch again this season.
