Arda Guler has endured a difficult debut season at Real Madrid during which minutes have been extremely hard to come by for the Turkish prodigy.

Injuries were not kind on the teenage sensation in the first half of the season and even though he has been fit and ready to go since January, Carlo Ancelotti has been reluctant to use him regularly.

As such, the 19-year-old has played less than 100 minutes this season and with competition for places to get more intense next season, the teenager is expected to leave the club on loan in the summer.

Real Betis make contacts to sign Guler

Now, Mundo Deportivo reports that Real Betis are interested in signing Arda Guler and have even made contact with Real Madrid over the possibility of taking him on loan.

Gonzalo Novillo, one of the scouts who discovered Arda Guler and encouraged his signing for Real Madrid, now works in the sports management of Real Betis.

And with Los Verdiblancos staring at a major squad overhaul during the summer, the name of Guler has been put forth on the table by Novillo.

As such, Real Betis are looking to sign Arda Guler on loan for one season or even possibly two this summer.

Real Madrid have a condition

However, before thinking about a move for Guler, Real Betis must secure qualification to European football for next season.

That is because Real Madrid have set a condition that they will let the 19-year-old leave on loan only to a club that will be playing in European competitions.

There are several other La Liga clubs interested in the teenager while teams from outside Spain are also keen.

So, it remains to be seen where Guler ends up in the summer if he does indeed leave Real Madrid on loan.
