A few days ago Javier Tebas fired shots at Real Madrid following their decision to come out with a four page complaint to RFEF and CSD over poor refereeing in the Espanyol game.
Tebas implied Real Madrid and its president Florentino Perez have been involved in many controversies, in a no holds barred tweet.
Now, Tebas has once again publicly criticised Real Madrid, in the aftermath of an important referees’ meeting hosted by RFEF and all the clubs in Spain – a meeting Real Madrid refused to attend.
Tebas first talked about the audio recordings of the referees that was demanded by Real Madrid.
“They should have been handed over to them, why not? That is my opinion. It is not Real Madrid’s decision that it goes to the ordinary courts, Real Madrid is against everything,” he said (h/t AS).
“I have stated it, I think that the VAR audios should have been handed over to Real Madrid and to any club, but these are decisions that correspond right now to the Federation of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA).”
Tebas went on to talk about Real Madrid at large and their ongoing open war against the referees in La Liga.
The La Liga president notably accused Real Madrid of ‘harming the competition’ while claiming that the club want to play the victim card at all times.
“They are against everything, it is the reality, Real Madrid want to harm the competition, not just the refereeing community, they have built a story of victimhood that I think was the cherry on top of the story they published the other day,” he said.

“They have built a story of victimhood that is exaggerated, out of place and with an objective, in my opinion, of harming the competition. You could see that in the note. They have lost their minds,” he added.
Tebas continued his attack on Real Madrid by confirming that he will look to launch an official report against Los Blancos.
“We are certainly going to file a complaint, just as we have filed a complaint against Real Madrid Television. We are going to see if the complaint is against the club, against the person who signed the letter, against the board of directors,” he said.
“We are analysing the matter at a legal level, but obviously this type of report cannot be allowed because it is falsehoods or half-truths that are intended to influence certain matters that cannot be. He has lost his mind.”
When asked about the fact that none of the other Spanish clubs have defended Real Madrid, Tebas replied, “I’m not surprised, people are fed up.”
Finally, Tebas offered his view as to what Real Madrid should do in order to come to an understanding with all parties involved.
“For the competition to move forward, Real Madrid should listen to the other 41 clubs. Football does not revolve around Real Madrid. That path is not possible,” he concluded.
