For some, the dream does become a reality as Leicester's Kasey McAteer proved by breaking into the Foxes' first team in 2023/24 before making 17 Premier League appearances this season.

10 years ago, the 23-year-old was a ball boy up in arms on the sidelines as club legend Jamie Vardy was scythed down inside the penalty area.

Fast forward a decade and McAteer celebrated Vardy's final goal for the Foxes in front of the King Power faithful on Sunday.

10 years ago, Kasey McAteer was a ball boy at the King Power as @LCFC beat Aston Villa on their way to the Premier League title. On Sunday, he was the first to celebrate with Jamie Vardy as he scored his 200th goal in his 500th and farewell match. Time flies 😪
