Karim Benzema speaks out on possibility of Real Madrid return | OneFootball

Real Madrid legend Karim Benzema this weekend refused to rule out the possibility of a return to the club down the line.

Frontman Benzema, for his part, of course brought a close to the iconic Real Madrid chapter of his career in the summer of 2023.

Opting for the riches of the Middle East, the Frenchman put pen to paper on terms with Al-Ittihad, in the Saudi Pro League.

After a somewhat testing debut campaign in Saudi, Benzema has begun to rediscover his brilliant best over recent months, enough to guide Al-Ittihad within a point of table-topping Al-Hilal.

With his former teammates in Jeddah this weekend for the final of the Spanish Super Cup, the veteran goalscorer therefore made use of the opportunity to sit down with Madrid-based outlet Marca.

And, during as much, Benzema admitted that he has not closed the door to a possible reunion with Los Blancos, be it on the pitch or behind the scenes, at some point in the future:

”Yes, of course, why not? At the moment I am in Jeddah and I am doing very well. The time will come to see how life is and I am sure I will be close to Madrid.”
