Manchester City must beat Juventus tonight to secure top spot in Group G, and potentially avoid facing Real Madrid in the Club World Cup knockout stage.

Both clubs have picked up six points from their first two group-stage matches and sit on the same goal difference.

However, Juventus have scored nine goals to City’s eight and it means they will go through to the knockout stages as group winners if they can avoid defeat in Orlando.

That could prove to be crucial, with the runners-up potentially having to face the Spanish giants in the last-16.

Juventus vs Man City team news

Juventus have named the same starting XI in both matches at the tournament so far and could opt to do so again.

If changes are made, Dusan Vlahovic is an option to come into the attack and Teun Koopmeiners could start in midfield, having replaced Weston McKennie at half-time last out.

Rayan Cherki, Phil Foden and Ruben Dias could all return to the starting lineup for Man City, but Rodri’s wait to start a match for the first time since returning from injury will continue.

Claudio Echeverri is Man City’s only injury concern and he is unlikely to play again in the tournament due to an ankle problem. Erling Haaland will lead the line, but Pep Guardiola has no shortage of options when deciding who to play behind him.
