Juventus to Add Costa, Manchester City Track Cambiaso

Juventus have shaken hands with Vitoria Guimaraes to acquire Alberto Costa. He will be in Turin for the medicals and the signature on Thursday at the latest, but his arrival won’t affect the plans to shore up the middle of the defense. It won’t lead to unplanned departures, even though Manchester City are poking around Andrea Cambiaso, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The Bianconeri will nab the young fullback for €12M plus €2M add-ons not too easy to trigger. They made the final push on Monday and beat out a few clubs. Como coach Cesc Fabregas had anticipated the outcome in his pre-game presser. The Lariani wanted Ivan Fresneda from Sporting CP, but the Portuguese team missed out on his replacement.

Juventus envision Costa as an offensive-minded option at the position, like Cambiaso, who has been on the radar of Manchester City for a while. He’s not on the market in the ongoing window. It’d take a really massive offer to make the team change its mind. He has ceded minutes to Weston McKennie lately, but he’s set to return to the XI in the make-up game versus Atalanta.

The Old Lady and Danilo are getting closer to agreeing to a rescission. Flamengo are trying to convince him to pick them over Napoli. The clash between the two sides is looming and is a factor. The only other Juventus player possibly on the way out is Nicolò Fagioli. He’s being tracked by the Saudi Pro League, Olympique Marseille and Lazio. Fulham and Nottingham Forest are testing the waters for Douglas Luiz, but nothing is advanced in that case.
