Juventus got their first win in five Serie A games with a 2-1 vicotry over Monza at the Stadio Brianteo.
Scorers: Birindelli 22'; McKennie 14', González 39'
Juve took the lead in the 14th minute through Weston McKennie, who hooked home a Teun Koopmeiners corner from close range. It was the American midfielder's fourth of the season of a productive campaign.
Monza did not let their heads drop, though, and responded just eight minutes later with a brilliant goal from Samuele Birindelli, son of Juve legend Alessandro. The right-back brilliantly connected with Andrea Carboni's cross for his first ever Serie A goal.
Nico González restored Juve's lead before the break, making no mistake from six yards out after Manuel Locatelli's looping cross came into his path.
The bottom-placed side, again, battled back but, despite having several chances, could not find a second equaliser.
Thiago Motta's men held out for a precious three points that moves them to within three points of the top four, and continues their rather strange unbeaten start to the season.
