Juventus are on the verge of securing a deal for OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, with an agreement worth €20m plus add-ons.

It had already been reported by multiple sources including Sportitalia and La Gazzetta dello Sport that they were close to a transfer, especially as the player was determined to follow in the footsteps of father Lilian by wearing the Juve jersey.

Now Sky Sport Italia are confident the final details will be resolved this week, with a medical planned for the weekend or next week.

The Bianconeri had hoped to get Thuram for €18m plus bonuses, but the latest version provided by Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio is of €20m plus add-ons tied to the number of appearances and squad targets.

Thuram family loves Serie A

He is the younger brother of Inter striker Marcus Thuram and was born in Parma, just a few months before their father moved to Juventus.

The 23-year-old is only under contract with OGC Nice until June 2025, so the Ligue 1 side had to sell now in order to avoid losing him as a free agent next summer.
