After signing four quality players, Manchester United are currently in the middle of completing a few sales and it seems like Jadon Sancho could be heading out the exit doors of Old Trafford.

It was quite the surprise when the Englishman joined pre-season training after what had transpired between him and Erik ten Hag last season.

The Dutchman had called out the forward for his below-par training displays which saw the player respond by attacking the manager on social media while his camp called out the boss over his preferential treatment of certain stars.

The 24-year-old was banished from the first team and loaned out in January with the former Manchester City academy graduate shining at former club Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho’s future

The Red Devils had tried to move him on to the Bundesliga side but Dortmund refused to pay the asking price and INEOS have been reluctant to agree a cut-price exit.

Therefore, Ten Hag welcomed him back to training after positive talks with the player but his absence from the matchday squad against Fulham makes it abundantly clear he is not in the manager’s plans for the season.

Paris Saint-Germain have also entered the fray recently but their rigid stance regarding Manuel Ugarte’s proposed move to the Theatre of Dreams has seen United also refusing to lower their demands regarding the forward.

Juventus, who were linked with a move earlier in the window, have reappeared on the scene as per La Repubblica and are eyeing a loan deal for Sancho.

While INEOS would like a permanent exit, they are open to a temporary exit on the condition that the deal includes an obligation to buy clause. The Turin-based club are looking at only an option to buy instead.

Juventus back in the race

“Juventus back on track for Jadon Sancho. The English winger has always been on the Bianconeri’s notebook and yesterday there was another contact between Juventus and Manchester United.

“The English are open to the loan formula but with an obligation to buy while Juventus would like to keep only the right.”

United are well stocked out wide and moving Sancho on would help United steer clear of PSR concerns and would allow the club to go after Ugarte in earnest.

This saga is unlikely to end before deadline day. Lots more twists and turns are expected before its conclusion.
