A potential player exchange deal between Juventus and Bayern Munich could take shape in the current transfer window, with defensive reinforcements and squad reshuffling on the table, according to Spazio J.

As Juventus finalise the arrival of Francisco Conceicao, attention has shifted toward offloading players to provide manager Igor Tudor with a balanced and competitive roster. Despite numerous changes in their defensive department over recent months, the club is considering additional moves to strengthen the back line ahead of the new season. The returns of Bremer and Cabal are imminent, but discussions internally suggest Juventus are still seeking another defensive option.

Bayern Munich’s interest in Renato Veiga may indirectly open a doorway for Juventus to bolster their own back line. Veiga, who spent a stint at Juventus on loan from Chelsea, showed promise in the latter part of the season. Although Juventus opted not to pursue his permanent signing, the Portuguese defender is now attracting attention from Bayern. Spazio J reports that journalist Nicolò Schira has confirmed initial contacts between Chelsea and Bayern for Veiga’s transfer, with the player already signalling his willingness to join the Bundesliga side.

This possible move could trigger another domino in the market: the future of Kim Min Jae. The South Korean international, formerly of Napoli and now at Bayern, has struggled to fully convince since his transfer to Germany. The expectation is that if Veiga completes his move to Bayern, Kim Min Jae would be cleared to leave, with a reported €35 million set as his exit price.

Juventus are among several clubs interested in Kim, though the club’s current transfer focus lies elsewhere. Nevertheless, his name has emerged as one to monitor for the coming weeks. The deal would present significant financial challenges, notably Kim’s substantial wages, which could complicate negotiations for Juventus unless the player is willing to adjust his salary expectations.

While there is no formal exchange deal currently in place, the sequence of moves involving Veiga and Kim could amount to an indirect swap that suits the interests of both Juventus and Bayern as they seek to refresh their defensive units ahead of the new campaign.
