Juventus are exploring a move to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson this summer, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Bianconeri were closing in on a deal to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain.

Talks have dragged on, and they are considering alternatives. Jackson is at the top of the shortlist.

Bayern Munich agreed a deal to take the Senegalese international on loan, but Chelsea are awaiting developments in the transfer market to see whether they can sell him permanently.

Despite facing massive scrutiny for his profligacy in front of goal, Jackson bagged 30 goals and 12 assists in 81 appearances for Chelsea.

His link-up play, dribbling ability and movement are terrific, but his end-product in the final third can be frustrating.

While Jackson would be an incredible signing for several top European sides, the Bundesliga may be the best environment for his development.

He could work under the mentorship of Harry Kane at Bayern, learning from one of football’s most complete strikers while being eased into a high-pressure role.

The pace, space and attacking emphasis of German football also suit his strengths.

However, Juventus would likely make him first-choice, requiring him to shoulder the burden of leading the line from day one.

For that reason, the appeal of Turin is obvious, but Bayern offer the more balanced path to his long-term growth.
