Juve snatch point against Bologna | OneFootball

Serie A Matchday 15 between Juventus and Bologna at the Allianz Stadium finishes 2-2. The visitors went two up with goals from Dan Ndoye and Tommaso Pobega, but the Bianconeri fought back thanks to Teun Koopmeiners and Samuel Mbangula.

AN EVEN START

On a cold Torino night, Koopmeiners’ play set the match alight in the first few seconds: the Dutchman found space to open up the opposing defence and find Nicolo Fagioli on the counter-attack, but the number 21’s effort on goal was denied by Sam Beukema’s block. The visitors made their presence felt in the ninth minute when Ndoye's powerful effort from outside the box hit the post to Mattia Perin's left. Just before the quarter of an hour mark, Andrea Cambiaso had to come off early due to injury and coach Thiago Motta was forced to make the first substitution of the match sending in Jonas Rouhi on the left.

VISITORS TAKE THE LEAD AND AN IMMEDIATE BIANCONERI REACTION

On the half-hour mark, Ndoye again found himself inside the box and put his side ahead with a left-footed effort that Perin could do nothing about. Juventus' reaction, however, was immediate and came via Francisco Conceicao, who got away from Juan Miranda on the right with a good piece of skill before setting up Fagioli in the box, who had timed his run into the penalty area to perfection but was unable to keep his shot down. Six minutes later it was Koopmeiners who looked to create from the left, crossing the ball into the penalty area towards Dusan Vlahovic who was adept at skipping past the first challenge with his first touch but was denied at the last moment by Jhon Lucumi’s challenge. In the closing stages of the first half, another great chance fell the way of the Bianconeri in what was to be the last action of the opening period: Koopmeiners played the ball towards Vlahovic, who volleyed towards goal, but Lukasz Skorupski was on hand to save.

THE ROSSOBLU DOUBLE THEIR LEAD BUT KOOPMEINERS QUICKLY HALVES THE DEFICIT

The second half began with a shock: Santiago Castro played through Pobega, who slotted past Perin to double the visitors’ advantage. Again, however, the Bianconeri reacted immediately, first with Vlahovic's shot blocked by Lucumi and then with the goal, in the 62nd minute, that halved the deficit: Conceicao found Danilo on the overlap down the right, who in turn picked out Koopmeiners perfectly in the box, and the Dutchman beat Skorupski with his left-footed strike to get his first goal in Juventus colours.

MBANGULA MAKES IT 2-2

On the hour mark came Juve’s second and third changes with Kenan Yildiz and Khephren Thuram coming on for Fagioli and Manuel Locatelli. Shortly afterwards Perin did well to stop Benjamin Dominguez's threatening left-footed effort from outside the box, at full stretch to his right. Thuram also came close with a header from a free-kick taken by Koopmeiners, which flew over the crossbar. Juve were rewarded for their pressure with a splendid piece of play by Mbangula who, in the 92nd minute, collected the ball on the edge of the penalty area and, with a very precise right-footed shot, slotted in the equaliser. It finished at the Allianz Stadium, Juventus 2-2 Bologna.
