Bayern Munich have reportedly withdrawn their offer of a new contract to midfielder Joshua Kimmich.
Kimmich's current deal expires at the end of the season and, after months of speculation, reports in Germany stated an extension was likely to be signed imminently, putting an end to Real Madrid and Liverpool's hopes of landing him on a free transfer.
Now, however, BILD claim that offer of a new contract has since been withdrawn by Bayern, who have grown frustrated by the 30-year-old's continued hesitance to extend.
Bayern officials have warned Kimmich that they do not want to continue negotiating the terms of a new deal without a concrete decision from the Germany international over whether he actually wants to continue at the club.
As a result, the contract proposal which was nearly finalised has been pulled from the table and Bayern have decided they do not want to negotiate any longer.
Importantly, it is stressed that the door is not yet closed to Kimmich at Bayern, but the pressure is on the versatile midfielder to make clear his intentions soon.
Kimmich's contract situation has piqued the interest of a number of Europe's biggest clubs. Madrid and Liverpool have dominated most of the speculation as they line up what would be a sensational free transfer.
