Jonathan Tah will undergo his Bayern Munich medical this week, according to Florian Plettenberg.
Negotiations are currently ongoing between Bayern and Bayer Leverkusen regarding a transfer fee for the soon-to-be free agent.
Bayern wish to sign him before June 30th in order for the central defender to be a part of Bayern’s FIFA Club World Cup squad from the beginning.
If a fee is not met, the earliest Tah could feature for Bayern at the tournament would be the quarter-finals.
Tah is scheduled to undergo his medical midweek and sign a contract which is valid until June 2029.
The German international gave his official verbal agreement last Friday, having been a long-term desired target by head coach Vincent Kompany.
For B04, it’s looking like a summer of mass change as the squad undergoes a complete rebuild.
On Monday, the club confirmed the signing of new head coach Erik ten Hag. The former Manchester United boss should have plenty of transfer budget with Tah, Florian Wirtz, and Jeremie Frimpong seemingly heading for the exit door.
