A draw against Everton and then a 2-1 defeat against Fulham, Chelsea campaign is derailing at the wrong time. They have slipped to the third position on the Premier League points table before Arsenal. They are now seven points off the table-toppers Liverpool.
The Blues need to return to the winning ways when they take on Ipswich Town in the league this Monday. It will be a tough game for Enzo Maresca’s side as it comes to an away clash. However, they have all the resources needed to extract a positive result.
Defence
Robert Sanchez put on beautiful saves in the previous game but couldn’t bring a victory. He will be motivated to keep a clean sheet this week. Malo Gusto was below-par and could lose his right-back spot to Axel Disasi.
Amid multiple injuries in the backline, Enzo Maresca has no choice but to field Levi Colwill and Tosin Adarabioyo at the heart of the defence. The duo needs to step up and contribute more significantly to the team’s success. Left-back Marc Cucurella was brought into the XI and should keep his place this time.

Midfield
Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are expected to be deployed in the middle of the park yet again. They were showing high-quality displays in recent times but haven’t been able to keep it up in the last few games. Time for a redemption? Let’s wait and watch.
Attack
Noni Madueke was dropped for technical reasons against Fulham and will be in the race to feature this week. Cole Palmer continues to operate in his usual spot while Jadon Sancho could be sacrificed for Joao Felix on the left flank.
Fans can expect to see Christopher Nkunku operating as the striker should Maresca decide to rest Nicolas Jackson for this tie.
