Sky Germany reports that Wolfsburg are on the verge of signing Jesper Lindstrøm on loan from Napoli, bringing him back to the Bundesliga.
Lindstrøm will move to the Autostadt on a one-year loan, while the deal will also include a buy option worth €12m.
The 25-year-old returns to the league where he made his name. During his time at Frankfurt, Lindstrøm played a key role in them winning the Europa League in 2022 as well as the DFB-Pokal final a year later. However, after a €30m move to Napoli in 2023, Lindstrøm has struggled at both the Italian side as well as with Everton.
So far, Wolfsburg have made two new signings in Vini Souza for €15m from Sheffield United as well as Aaron Zehnter from Paderborn for €4.5m on top of the permanent acquisitions of loanees Mohamed Amoura and Denis Vavro.
The Autostadt side are also close to completing a move for Norwich striker Josh Sargent. Who will also return to Germany after a spell in England.
