Arsenal are preparing to part ways with Jakub Kiwior, who is set to join FC Porto, while the club plans to bring in Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen as his replacement.

However, Hincapie outperformed Kiwior in other key areas, averaging 1.35 successful tackles, 0.34 blocks and 1.08 interceptions per 90, compared to Kiwior’s 0.64, 0.16 and 0.48.

These figures suggest that each player excels in different defensive attributes, with Kiwior proving stronger aerially and Hincapie more effective in ground challenges and interceptions. Arsenal’s decision to pursue Hincapie reflects a desire to enhance their defensive versatility and increase competition within the squad.

Both defenders are clearly talented, and with these moves, Arsenal appear to have struck a balance between accommodating Kiwior’s ambitions and reinforcing their own defensive line.
