LLANO MARÍN, Panama – The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup continued with Sporting San Miguelito earning a 2-nil win against CS Herediano in Group B on Thursday at Estadio Universidad Latina in Llano Marín, Panama.

Yair Jaén opened the scoring in the 44’ from a free kick strike to place Sporting San Miguelito in front.

Joseph Cox extended the lead for the hosts in the 64’ with a successful penalty conversion.

Marcos de León delivered four saves to earn his first clean sheet in the 2025 edition.

Sporting San Miguelito improved to seven points to position itself in first place ahead of the final matchweek. The Panamanian side has secured its berth in the Quarterfinals and will conclude the Group Stage at Real España next Thursday.

CS Herediano occupies the fourth place in the group with three points and will seek to a top two finish when it hosts CSD Municipal next Thursday.
