It has been more than three years since Lionel Messi left LaLiga but his legacy lives on.
The Argentina captain lit up the stage as Barcelona's talisman and also set a few records along the way, including some which may never be surpassed.
It was exactly a decade ago since Messi equalled and then eclipsed Telmo Zarra's 251-goal haul in a 5-1 dismantling of Sevilla.
The Athletic Club legend's feat had stood for almost six decades until the serial Ballon d'Or winner notched his second of the night.
Messi extended his tally to 253 LaLiga goals later on by claiming a hat-trick while he bowed out, seven years later, with a mammoth 474 strikes to his name.
Only his former Real Madrid nemesis Cristiano Ronaldo managed to get remotely near that number but still some way out with 311 goals.
Truly an out of this world player.
