This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Midfielder Davide Frattesi stayed at Inter in January despite some major transfer rumours.

Reportedly, the 25-year-old has grown unhappy with his lack of playing time. Therefore, he wants an exit.

Roma were by far the team most heavily linked with Frattesi.

However, Inter were not keen to sell Frattesi in midseason. Therefore, they put a very steep asking price on the former Sassuolo midfielder, and there was no move to Roma.

Frattesi started in a Serie A match against Lecce last month. He scored Inter’s opening goal and won a penalty in a 4-0.

That seemed like a statement that Frattesi would at least have his role to play over the second half of the season for the Nerazzurri.

However, the Italian international’s performance against Fiorentina this week sent a very different message.

Once again, Frattesi got his chance to start for Inter in Serie A.

But it would be safe to say that the 25-year-old did not make the best of that opportunity.

Frattesi was among the worst performers as Inter slumped to a shocking 3-0 defeat.

This display just underlined the fact that Frattesi is not a particularly good fit for this Inter team. It is harder than ever to see him winning the trust of coach Simone Inzaghi.
