Inter Milan are not just working on a deal for Ademola Lookman, with Giovanni Leoni & Koni De Winter also targets, reports Niccolo Ceccarini.
This according to Italian transfer reporter Niccolo Ceccarini. Writing on TuttoMercatoWeb, he also notes that Giovanni Leoni is still very much on Inter’s radar.
By now, the soap opera that is Inter’s pursuit of Ademola Lookman has really come to dominate the Nerazzurri transfer window.
And the Nigerian is certainly the most high profile target for the Nerazzurri. So it’s to be expected that the outcome of that transfer saga will define Inter’s summer transfer window.
However, at the same time, Inter also have other work to do before the window closes.

Italian transfer journalist Niccolo Ceccarini reports that “Inter are still waiting to see how the Lookman situation unfolds, but their transfer window isn’t just about the forward.”
“The Nerazzurri’s plans also include investing in a defender,” he adds.
“And it’s clear that for this to happen, they first need to make a sale.”
“The leading candidate to leave is still Bisseck,” reports Ceccarini. “Crystal Palace offered over €30 million.”
“The player refused to consider the move,” he continues. “And so the talks have stalled.”
“But that doesn’t mean that something won’t happen.”
Ceccarini goes on that “Inter have already identified a couple targets for a while.”
“The top target remains Leoni. The Parma centre-back is undoubtedly one of the top young talents around.”
“It’s no coincidence that Parma value him at €40 million,” Ceccarini writes.
“On the other hand, Marotta and Ausilio could perhaps convince them to take a player-plus-cash offer.”
“The other possibility would be De Winter,” the transfer reporter goes on. “The Nerazzurri have been working on him for a while.”
“They’ve also established a great relationship with Genoa in recent years,” he notes.
“Leoni’s explosion in form and their strong interest in him have slowed down talks somewhat. But he’s a profile they’ve always been interested in.”
