A journalist who is very close with one Chelsea target has been revealing some truths this week on the player in question.

The news comes off the back of Chelsea getting an essential three points on Saturday afternoon by beating Everton 1-0 at home after a fantastic first half goal from striker Nicolas Jackson ending his 2025 goal draught.

EXCLUSIVE! Three Chelsea players who are not enjoying the football under Enzo Maresca!

It was far from an easy game for Chelsea though, and goalkeeper Robert Sanchez became the unlikely hero and was actually the reason that they could see the win out and collect all three points, making some big second half saves to deny certain goals.

Another one of Chelsea’s best players on the pitch was defender Trevoh Chalobah and really, he was a strong candidate for man of the match too. Enzo Maresca defended Chelsea’s decision to let him go on loan in the summer after then recalling him in the winter.

Meanwhile, Chelsea want to sign a new striker this summer in news that has become very much common knowledge now. Victor Osimhen is one of the names consistently linked with Chelsea by pretty much every outlet out there, but will they land him? I cannot see it now, unfortunately.

Was Osimhen a boyhood Chelsea fan?

This post is a couple of years old now but caused a stir at the time

This is a common myth, at least according to Buchi Laba, who is apparently close to the player.

He says the striker was never a boyhood Chelsea fan despite being pictured wearing a Chelsea shirt when he was a kid. Although he does confirm that Osimhen sees Didier Drogba as a mentor.

Laba wrote:

‘This talks about Chelsea being Osimhen boyhood club is false. Never his boyhood club. He just wore the jersey like every young boy. Only thing that’s right is Drogba being his mentor.’
