Simone Inzaghi warns RB Leipzig are not to be taken for granted during their current crisis, as Inter rotate the squad yet again in the Champions League. ‘They give me a strong response.’
It kicks off at San Siro at 20.00 GMT.
RB Leipzig have surprisingly not picked up a single point in four Champions League games so far, including a fumbled lead to lose 3-2 against 10-man Juventus.
A great deal of that is down to the injury crisis, which leaves them decimated here this evening.
“Leipzig are a team who until a month ago were top of the Bundesliga table alongside Bayern Munich, so they have quality and we need a great performance,” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.
“They played really well against Juventus, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, despite the final results not going their way.”

The coach is always enthusiastic about squad rotation, none more so than this time when there are eight changes from the side that beat Verona 5-0 in Serie A at the weekend.
“I am fortunate to have a large squad and I must try to use everyone. They also give me a strong response in training and every time I can choose based on the match in hand.”
Inter are unbeaten in the Champions League so far this season and, along with Atalanta, have not conceded a single goal yet.
A win here could therefore catapult them towards a guaranteed spot in the Round of 16.
“We know this is an important game for us, we’ve got Leipzig and then Bayer Leverkusen, real quality opponents,” added Inzaghi.
Joaquin Correa scored and assisted on Saturday against Verona in a rare start, so does the coach hope Mehdi Taremi will do the same today?
“Taremi is giving a great response. We have a lot of talented strikers at our disposal, but in the Champions League Taremi has played more than any of his teammates. He gave us a big hand getting this far and needs to continue like this.”
