Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi admits that he only had fourteen players fit at the end of yesterday’s Coppa Italia draw between AC Milan and Inter Milan.
The Nerazzurri coach spoke in a press conference after the match, as reported by FCInterNews. He also praised forward Joaquin Correa for his performance in the match.
Inter Milan were missing a few players in the squad for yesterday’s Coppa Italia semifinal first leg against AC Milan.
Lautaro Martinez was a notable name absent. The Nerazzurri captain is still recovering from a muscle problem.
The same is true of wingback Denzel Dumfries.
Then, beyond that, there were some players who were available in the squad, but dealing with some physical issues.
Striker Marko Arnautovic and wingback Federico Dimarco were among the Nerazzurri players who remained on the bench for the entirety of yesterday’s match.

After yesterday’s match, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi said that “the guys did very well.”
“The first half was balanced,” he continued. “Both keepers had to do well on a couple occasions.”
“The team wanted to get the draw at all costs,” Inzaghi declared. “And it was fully deserved.”
“There were two big saves by Maignan on Zalewski and Mkhitaryan at the end,” he noted.
The Inter coach added that “We only had fourteen outfield players ready, the guys did very well.”
Then, Inter coach Inzaghi gave an update on the fitness of some players for upcoming matches.
“We’ll see with Lautaro,” he said. “He’s looked good in training in the last few days, so there’s hope.”
“Dumfries won’t be available against Parma,” Inzaghi continued.
“With Arnautovic and Dimarco we hope so. We’re confident.”
“Zielinski won’t be available,” the Nerazzurri coach then confirmed. “I hope to have around 16-17 outfield players available.”
And Inzaghi also hailed a “very good” performance from forward Joaquin Correa yesterday.
“He knew he’d have to play ninety minutes. As did Thuram.”
“Both gave us a big hand in both phases of play,” said the Inter coach. “I’m very happy for Tucu.”
